In private practice since 1973, Vermont civil trial lawyer Bret P. Powell, Esq. is among the deans of trial law in Vermont.  A specialist in insurance law, Attorney Powell has represented clients in all 14 Vermont counties, the Vermont Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for the District of Vermont and Probate Courts around the state.

Attorney Powell’s practice covers all areas of civil litigation including personal injury, insurance coverage, uninsured motorists, construction disputes, professional malpractice, environmental claims and municipal law.  He also represents individuals and executors in Probate matters and professionals in disciplinary proceedings before Vermont State licensing boards.

A graduate of the University of Vermont and the George Washington University Law School, Attorney Powell is a graduate of the Masters Program of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.  He is a member of the Chittenden County, Vermont and American Bar Associations.

Bret lives in Williston with his wife, Barbie, and is a proud grandparent.
